China International Co-Production Screenings

Hosted by the Motion Picture Association and The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China (SAPPRFT) , the 6th annual China International Co-Production Screenings aims to highlight the best in Chinese co-productions from the last year.

All films will play in Screen 8 at Regal Cinemas, LA Live and are open to the public.

Wednesday, November 2
1PM Skiptrace

A Hong Kong detective (Jackie Chan) hunts for a glib American gambler (Johnny Knoxville) who has info regarding the disappearance of his goddaughter (Fan Bingbing). But his plans for revenge are derailed when the gambler hints that he knows the whereabouts of the crime kingpin he's been tracking for years.

3:15PM Mojin: The Lost Legend

At the beginning of the 1990s, famous tomb explorer Hu Bayi, Wang Kaixuan and Hu's fiancée Shirley Yang decided to retire to Manhattan. But before his wedding, Bayi discovers his first love Ding Sitian, who had supposedly died 20 years ago, is actually still alive. They're lured back to their original vocation by a mysterious, businesswoman/cult leader Ying Caihong who wants them to find the ancient tomb of a Mongolian princess. They eventually learn that what she really wants is to possess a famed artifact known as the Equinox Flower that allegedly has the power to raise the dead.

1PM Three

A thug is shot in the head by a police officer during an interrogation due to miscommunication and is taken to the hospital. In hospital he refuses surgery to remove the bullet inside his head in order to bide time for his underlings to rescue him. The detective in charge sees through this ploy but decides to play along in order to capture and put an end to his whole gang once and for all.

3:15PM Finding Mr Right 2: The Book of Love

Xiao Ye moved to Macau with her father when she was 15. Feeling lonely, the local casino there has become like a home to her. Her lonely days end after she meets Daniel, a real estate broker and father of a teenage son. Love blooms between the two as they start exchanging letters, sharing their most personal and intimate self with each other.
